I am not returning back: New Orleans Saints coach admits he want to leave.

Sean Payton arrived in New Orleans for his first head coaching job in 2006-the same year that future-hall-of-fame quarterback Drew Brees signed with them in free agency.

Having a good quarterback, because the most important position in football, is crucial to having a successful coaching tenure.

The Brees-Payton partnership was incredibly successful-they wom one Super Bowl, and routinely made deep playoff runs.

However, before last season, Brees retired, and Payton was forced to make do with a rotation of Jameis Winston, Taysom Hill, and Trevor Simiean under center.

It should go without saying, but the Saints were not very good this year.

I can’t imagine Payton is looking forward to being absent Brees for one more season, and the daunting task of developing a younger quarterback is enough to make him quit.

Hello. Thank you for the question. I have been a Saints fan since I was 9 years old, back in 1968. This is my opinion only. Coach Payton has been coaching for the Saints since right after Hurricane Katrina. He turned the Saints into Superbowl winners. He turned them into a force to be reckoned with. I believe, simply, the man is tired. He has had Covid twice. This man went above and beyond for the Saints and the city of New Orleans. He did his job so well. We are going to miss you Coach Payton. Many blessings to you and yours Coach. I hope this answer helps you. Also Wishing you and yours all
