Lennon says Premiership striker would be good addition for Celtic

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said that Bojan Miovski would be a good addition to Brendan Rodgers’ team.

With goalscoring seeming laboured, it is clear that the Irishman needs reinforcements in the final third and there have been rumours relating to the Aberdeen striker.

When asked on PLZ whether Miovski would be a good addition, Lennon was full of praise for the 24-year-old.

“No question, no question. I’ve seen him live, I love his attitude to the game. There’s no histrionics with him, he runs the channels, works his tail off.

“Everything he gets in the game he deserves and I love his attitude. He’s a really good player and I think he’s been fantastic this season.”

Kyogo hasn’t been at his best this season and there are a number of factors likely behind that – change of shape under Rodgers or, perhaps, lack of quality in the wide options culminating in a lack of confidence and less goals. Similarly, Oh is hit or miss up top. With both likely to be involved in the Asia Cup, Celtic need to get recruits in the door.

Since joining Aberdeen, Miovski has scored 29 goals and assisted on 6 occasions in 66 appearances for the Granite City side. This weekend, he could help fire them to a League Cup trophy against Rangers. The Dons want £5m for the former MTK Budapest forward and it’ll be interesting to see what comes of the interest.
