Celtic Legend Slams ‘Greedy’ Norwich For Adam Idah Transfer Antics

With the Scottish Premiership season underway, Celtic appear to be lacking in terms of fire power up front.

Kyogo Furuhashi and Matt O’Riley carried much of the brunt of the Hoops’ goalscoring needs last season, scoring 19 goals each as Celtic claimed a domestic double.

However, if they are to hold off the renewed challenge of Rangers this season, it is likely they will need reinforcements up top.

One man heavily linked with filling that void is Irish striker Adam Idah, who spent the back half of last season on loan at Celtic Park.

The Corkman scored nine goals in his short spell in Glasgow, endearing himself to the fans with massive goals in the league title race and a last-gasp winner against bitter rivals Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.

Celtic were expected to pounce on a permanent move for the Norwich striker but, a week into August, any such move is yet to materialise. With Norwich holding out for a transfer fee in the region of £8 million, ex-Celtic star John Hartson has accused the Championship side of “taking the mick.”Celtic made a bid for 23-year-old Adam Idah in early July, propositioning Norwich with a fee of £4 million for the Irishman.
