Ethan Erhahon joins: 2 signings QPR should try make before West Brom match on August 10th

The Hoops finished the 2023/24 season strongly, finishing 18th, six points above the drop zone. Given Cifuentes’ impact when he joined the club, there’s optimism at Loftus Road that the upcoming campaign will be a good one.

The club have signed the likes of Daniel Bennie, Paul Nardi, Liam Morrison, Hevverton Santos and Zan Celar, but Cifuentes could be looking to add to his squad before they host West Brom on the opening day.

Pre-season has been a mixed bag so far, with wins over Spanish sides L’Escala and FC Santa Coloma before defeats against domestic rivals Reading and Tottenham.

These defeats will have helped show Cifuentes where QPR need to strengthen, and with that in mind, here are two signings they should look to make before their Championship campaign gets underway.

QPR could still do with another central midfielder this summer, and a move for Lincoln City’s Ethan Erhahon would be a statement of intent.

The Hoops have seen Andre Dozell depart on a free transfer this summer, whilst Taylor Richards has also left on loan, meaning Cifuentes could have a central midfielder on his shopping list.

Erhahon fits the bill perfectly, and he has previously impressed in League One for the Imps, winning the club’s Player of the Season award for the 2023/24 campaign.

The 23-year-old has impressed so much for Lincoln that the club’s director of football, Jez George, has previously stated that they expect Erhahon to generate a club record fee if he was sold.

This shows that he’s a player with serious talent, and it’s a surprise that a Championship club hasn’t moved for the Scottish midfielder yet this summer.

At 23, Erhahon is a player who will continue to get better, and if QPR were to sign him, he could be a player that could make the club money in the future.

The ex-St Mirren man looks a real talent, and he’s someone that could bolster Cifuentes’ midfield.
