According to the country star’s official website, “Milligan is a student of classic Country music with the swagger of early Rock ‘n’ Roll. He’s an electrifying entertainer who is packing Country fans into clubs night after night on tour. Milligan cites George Strait and Elvis Presley – the King of Country and the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll – as musical heroes.”
Citing Elvis is no surprise. Drake Milligan starred as Elvis Presley on the CMT series Sun Records. He also played a teenage Elvis in the film Nobody.
His website continues, “His unique twist of traditional Country has been embraced by fans, peers and the media alike. Milligan has performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Grand Ole Opry, Stagecoach and CMA Music Festival. He has earned high praise from People, BBC, USA Today, Parade, American Songwriter, CMT.com, Billboard, ET, Access Hollywood, Cosmopolitan, Cowgirl Magazine and Taste of Country.”
Sounds like fans and critics love him. Speaking of fans, an official poll for AGT: Fantasy League indicates that his recent departure did not go over well. What’s there to know? The singing competition’s studio audience voted him off in Week 2. However, “79% of ‘America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League’ fans say Drake Milligan was ‘truly robbed.’”
This is not his first rodeo when it comes to singing competition shows. He also appeared on American Idol and the original America’s Got Talent. Considering his impressive resume, he should be just fine doing his own thing. Meanwhile he has a brand new album releasing!
