Surprise Favorite for Chiefs Backup RB Job Emerging at Camp
Chiefs RB Deneric Prince is enjoying an excellent period of summer workouts and early training camp with the team, rising up the depth chart in similar fashion to his ultimately unfounded hype last year.
It’s early in camp, though Prince has been the second back in the rotation thus far.
Considered someone fighting for his job entering camp, Prince has delivered encouraging results thus far. Kansas City’s backfield is murky, so much so that Kadarius Toney is getting reps, so Prince has an opportunity to snag an important role.
Prince had 1,728 career rushing yards and 14 TDs at Tulsa, illustrating the kind of skillset that seems to fit the Chiefs’ offense.
