West Ham United have submitted an initial proposal to Leeds United for left-winger Crysencio Summerville
The Hammers are looking to further bolster their attacking talent this summer after signing a goalkeeper, centre-back and midfielder so far.
The club have been looking for someone to fill the position on the left side of the attack for a while now. Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals’ lack of form led to them being sold in January, this meant either Lucas Paqueta, Mohammed Kudus or even James Ward-Prowse had to play out of position on the left wing for the remainder of the campaign.
Crysencio Summerville could be the perfect option for Julen Lopetegui’s new look West Ham team. The 22-year-old is a massive goal threat, which Julen Lopetegui loves from his wingers. In the all competitions last season, he scored 21 goals in 49 matches.
This includes 19 goals in 43 EFL Championship appearances. No only a goal threat from wide, the Dutchman is also very creative. The Feyenoord academy product also provided ten assists for this teammates last campaign.
Summerville is always looking to create quick one-twos within the final third. He often looks to combine with his teammates in front of the defensive block rather than being a winger who holds a wide position. This would impress Lopetegui as he likes his wingers to adopt central areas so his full-back can create the width, something that would help Emerson continue thrive after a very impressive season under David Moyes.
The wide man is also reasonably proven in the Premier League, despite his young age, he has scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 20 starts during his Premier League career with Leeds United at 20/21 years of age.
