GOOD NEWS: Lewis Hamilton designed for Dior

Lewis Hamilton Is Teaming Up with Dior

Lewis Hamilton has been making some big moves recently. It was announced at the beginning of the year that the Brit would be joining the Ferrari team after a decade or so with Mercedes.

He just had a record-breaking win at Silverstone, his ninth victory on home soil. And this summer has seen him switch lanes again, from driving to designing for Dior.

Besides serving as an ambassador for the French fashion house’s menswear, the thirty-nine-year-old has worked with Dior’s artistic director, Kim Jones, to design a spring 2025 lifestyle capsule. Bringing a functional mindset from his sporting background, Hamilton imbues the luxury pieces with a sense of practicality.

Expect traditional Dior tweeds in more casual suiting, as well as new weaves made in Burkina Faso alongside denim and sweats. Hamilton’s inherent streetwear sensibility comes through via beanies, sunglasses, and jewelry, while those off to the Val-d’Isère this winter can go decked in Dior-branded skiwear that derives from Japanese label Descente’s technical expertise.

“Our values and ideas are aligned, making it easy to bring to life a creative collection infused with our shared experiences,” says Hamilton in the collection notes. “Focusing on conscious choices and pushing boundaries with each piece, while merging inspiration from my roots in Africa—drawing from their fabrics and belief in natural materials, as well as vibrant colors and powerful energy—has been so inspiring.”

“Added to that, this collection also reflects Lewis’s sporting side, his virtuosity and our functionality,” continues Jones. “All in all, the way things came together happened very organically—and enjoyably!”
