SHOCKING: Fans marveled at what Luton Player demonstrated at…..

Tom Holmes | “I’m loving my time at the club so far”

Luton Town defender Tom Holmes spoke for the first time as a Hatter after our pre-season win against Rukh Lviv on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old former Reading centre-half got 90 minutes under his belt as he discussed being on his first pre-season tour with us within the mountains of Slovenia.

“It was a really good exercise for us,” said Holmes. “Everyone got the minutes that the staff wanted, and it was especially good to build off the back of the Stevenage one last week. It was hot out there, but certainly a good day’s work.

“It was quite demanding in the first half especially because the game was quite stretched, but in the second half we got a bit more control of the game, when we had possession, it was alright, but you could definitely feel the heat.”

Holmes also discussed his time at the club so far following his transfer from Reading, which was confirmed back in January before Holmes linked up with his Hatters teammates this summer.

“I’m loving my time at the club so far to be honest. I love the environment and the culture that’s been created here at Luton, I’m grateful to come into it every day and give the best version of myself.

“Slovenia is unbelievable. I know some of the lads have been here a few times now so there were a few grumblings about coming here again but personally, I’ve loved it so far, it’s definitely a bit of me.

“I think we’ll be making use of the lakes here for recovery on Wednesday, we’ll take some time to chill and take in some of the scenery.”
