COVENTRY City have confirmed the departure of influential midfielder Callum O’Hare following the expiry of his contract.
The 26-year-old helped City reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup last season and departs the club after scoring 18 goals in 142 appearances.
O’Hare first joined the Sky Blues on loan from Aston Villa ahead of the 2019/20 season and quickly established himself as a fan favourite.
And after helping City clinch the League One title he completed a permanent switch to the CBS Arena the following campaign.
He played in all but one league game during the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons before injuries disrupted his final two campaigns with the club.
O’Hare posted on X: “Thank you for everything, taking me in as soon as I came through the door and giving me some of the best moments and memories of my life.
“Thank you for the special connection we created together and singing my song every single game and most importantly thank you for being you #PUSB.”
A club statement said: “Coventry City would like to thank Callum for his contribution to the club that was unfortunately significantly disrupted due to injury over his last two seasons with us.”
