Wrexham centre-back Max Cleworth signs new contract
A product of the club’s youth programme, Cleworth made his league debut in Phil Parkinson’s first game in charge in August 2021.
The 21-year-old became a permanent fixture in the Wrexham defence in the second half of last season and played his part in the Reds securing runners-up spot in League Two to make it back-to-back promotions for the first time in the club’s history.
Cleworth made 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring his first league goal in April’s win at Colchester United, and was recognised for his efforts by being voted Young Player of the Season for a second time on the back of his 2021-22 award.
