On today’s show, Andy is joined by PFF’s Sam Monson to discuss the Packers’ latest surge over the past month, their impressive win over the Chiefs, Matt LaFleur’s coach of the year candidacy, and so much more. Don’t miss it!
Earlier this week, Aaron Rodgers spoke on the Pat McAfee show and sang the praises of Jordan Love, stating he wasn’t surprised by the success of Love so far this season. But Rodgers followed up those comments with some wise words, he said, “As well as he’s playing, can we not crown him right now? For his own sake. Because we shouldn’t do that to kids. We shouldn’t crown him, and we shouldn’t cancel him.”
Aaron is stating something I’ve echoed myself these past couple of weeks. The truth is that just a few weeks ago, people were starting to legitimately wonder if Jordan Love was the guy, and some even went as far as to say out loud that they thought it was time to move to Sean Clifford.
Now, a few weeks later, everyone wants to go in the opposite direction and state that Jordan is the undisputed franchise quarterback and the next in the lineage of greatness following Favre and Rodgers. But if Love goes out these next few weeks and plays poorly, there will be those that swing right back and question aloud whether or not Love can be the guy. There will be questions about his inconsistency, his turnovers, and his accuracy all over again.

With the NFL season is in full swing, there are plenty of Mississippi State players not only taking part in it but starring on the biggest stage.
Last season, Chris Jones and Willie Gay Jr. took home the Super Bowl trophy as the Kansas City Chiefs won it all for the second time in Jones’ career. The two won the title over two more former Bulldog greats in Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay and the four standouts will be fighting to get back to that same spot once again with their teams this year.
Two new faces will be on the field this season for State as cornerback Emmanuel Forbes and defensive tackle Cameron Young were drafted and will play a factor on defense for Washington and Seattle respectively.
15 players were on opening day rosters when the season kicks off this weekend and 10 of those players came from Mississippi high schools with three more coming from the Mississippi Junior College system.
Another seven players are currently on practice squad rosters with more potentially being signed soon. Let’s take a look at who to look out for when watching the big games this weekend.
This week, Denico Autry corralled his career-high-tying ninth sack of the season, Dak Prescott earned another win with three more touchdowns and was just one yard shy of another 300-yard performance and Martin Emerson hit 100 career tackles.
