KAREN CARNEY AWARDED OBE IN KING’S BIRTHDAY HONOURS LIST

 

Karen took to her Instagram @kazcarney to announce the incredible honour with a photo of her as a young girl wearing the ’95 season Blues kit stating: “where it all started.”

Karen was given the honour for her services to Association Football, having led an independent review into the game last year.

Her OBE comes seven years after being awarded an MBE.

“It continues to be my mission to champion football so that everyone can have access and benefit from the game,” Karen said.

“… so I share this OBE with every colleague, supporter or fan who are working day in, day out, to achieve that mission…”
