Exclusive: Everton agree deal to sign Aston Villa star Tim Iroegbunam

Everton have agreed a deal to sign Aston Villa midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, sources have told Football Insider.

The 20-year-old is set to join the Merseysiders permanently, adding to their options in central midfield. Everton have had a bid accepted for the England Under-20 international after a breakthrough in talks and he is now closing in on a Villa Park exit this summer.

The fee will be in the region of £10million as Villa look to raise cash amid concerns over meeting Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Football Insider revealed earlier this month (7 June) that the Midlands giants must bring in £60million in player sales this summer.

Iroegbunam is rated highly within the corridors of power at Aston Villa but has struggled for game time under Unai Emery.
