Everton ace as contract terms are officially agreed: King gushes over ‘Outstanding…..

Everton handed ‘incredible’ boost after terms are officially agreed at Goodison Park

Bryan King has described Seamus Coleman’s one-year contract extension as a “boost” for Everton.

The ex-Goodison scout has praised the Irishman’s “outstanding” contributions to the club over the years.

Everton announced via Instagram on Friday (14 June) that the right-back had put pen to paper on a new deal with the Toffees.

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has detailed his delight as a result of the announcement.

“I was initially involved when he was brought to the club,” King said.

“He was signed for about £60,000, and it is incredible to think that he is about to spend his 16th season with the club.“Coleman has been an outstanding contributor to the club, both on and off the pitch. Therefore, I think this is a boost for everybody involved.”

Could Seamus Coleman retire with Everton at Goodison Park?

With Everton set to play their final season at Goodison Park, it is fitting that Coleman will be involved.

He is a true modern-day legend on Merseyside and has given almost his entire career to the Toffees.

With the defender set to turn 36 this season, he might soon be thinking about hanging up his boots, and what better place to do it than at Everton? Even if he doesn’t retire at Goodison Park, if this is to be his final season with the Toffees, then Coleman will be hoping to go out on a high.
