Cincinnati Bengals Fans React to Instagram Post

Many Bengals fans have had a reaction to this post. However, these fans also seem to be supporting Higgins during his current contract negotiation. Here are some of the most notable replies to Higgins’ post:

“We waitin on you gang… take ya time.”

“20 mil ain’t enough.”

“Go get your contract and start to practice we need a bowl this season teee.”

“Go for 1500 this year.”

“Ah f*ck lol. Hope you don’t leave, but if you do I think most of us understand.”

Cincinnati Bengals and Tee Higgins Moving Forward

To say a lot has happened between the Bengals and Higgins this offseason would be an understatement. For starters, the Bengals placed their franchise tag on Higgins, forcing him to remain with Cincinnati without a long-term contract for at least one more season. Now, he is the last player who had a franchise tag placed on him this offseason left to receive a contract extension.

Higgins is set to make just under $22 million this season and will be a free agent in 2025. However, one big event that happened earlier today could have triggered this response by Higgins.

This event was Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle receiving a contract extension worth nearly $85 million over the course of three years. Waddle was arguably in a very similar position as Higgins with the Dolphins. Both players were arguably the #2 wide receiver on their team but part of a very elite wide receiver duo.

Now, Higgins is seeing another wide receiver getting paid. It is possible he does not have much hope the Bengals will do the same for him.
