Aston Villa now want to sign Olympiacos hero Ayoub El Kaabi – Exclusive

Aston Villa are interested in a move for Olympiacos star Ayoub El Kaabi, Villa News understands.

Olympiacos made history on Wednesday 29 May, becoming the first Greek side to win a European trophy as José Luis Mendilibar’s team lifted the UEFA Europa Conference League with a 1-0 win over Fiorentina in Athens.

El Kaabi was the hero once again, scoring the winning goal deep into extra time.

It was his 11th strike of the tournament, with five of those coming across both legs of Olympiacos’ semi-final win over Aston Villa.

And following his European heroics, it seems that Villa have taken notice.

At international level, El Kaabi has 22 goals in 44 appearances for Morocco.
