A beloved mum and sister has been remembered as families pay heartfelt tributes to much-missed people in Coventry and Warwickshire. Pauline Elizabeth Veronica Smyth will be ‘sadly missed’ following her death at the age of 75.

Joan Mary Kirk passed away peacefully after a long illness bravely borne on January 22. A loving mum, grandma, sister and aunty. Joan will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Funeral is to be held on February 15 at 3pm at Cannon Hill Chapel, Canley Crematorium. Family flowers only, but donations can be made to the Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind.

Mary Middleton

Mary ‘Georgina’ Middleton passed away peacefully on January 17, aged 87. A beloved mum, nan and aunt.

Funeral was held on February 8 at 2pm at St Laurences Church, Old Church Road. Donations towards Trinity Lodge Care Home for Dementia in memory of Georgina.

David Ian Moore

David Ian Moore was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend, who will be so greatly missed.

Funeral is to be held on February 13 at 1.45pm at St Mary Magdalenes Church, Vicarage Road, Lillington, Leamington Spa, CV32 7RH Anyone can join us to celebrate the life of David Moore, the family said.

Maura Murphy

(Née Houlihan) Maura Murphy, of Tulliver Close, Bedworth, passed away on January 25, aged 92. She was a beloved mum, nan and great-nan who has now been reunited with her beloved Tony. RIP.

William O’Connor

(Liam) William O’Connor sadly passed away in Perth, Australia on December 22, 2023. A loving partner to Michelle, an adoring father to Kirsty and Kelly and a wonderful grandfather to Leo and Luna-June.

Funeral is to be held on February 23 at 11.30am in Charter Chapel, Canley Crematorium. Family have said flowers are welcome or donations can be made to the RSPCA via Funeral Notices at AJ Lloyd.

Mildred Phillips

(Millie) Mildred Phillips, of Bedworth, died peacefully at George Eliot Hospital on January 12, aged 93. A loving wife to the late Ernest (Phil) Phillips, a much-loved mum to Mark and David, a mother-in-law to Frances and Rosie and a nana to Daniel and Joshua.

Committal will take place at Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton on February 19. Thanksgiving Service at St Andrews Church, Bedworth at 2.15pm. Family flowers only. John Sandoz passed away peacefully on January 22, aged 89. A much-loved brother, an uncle, a special dad and a papa who will be so greatly missed.

(Lally) Pauline Elizabeth Veronica Smyth passed away peacefully following a short illness surrounded by her family on January 3, aged 75. She is now reunited with her brothers John, Tom, Bill and Tet. A beloved mother to Jackie, Rick, Carl, Wayne, Gary, Celia and Tasha, a loving sister to Maureen, Mary, Ann, Kathleen, Teresa and Peter and a proud nanna of Louisa, Thomas, Ross, Leah, Morgan, Trinitee, Havana and Montana.

Funeral is to be held on February 13 at 1pm at St James Church, Bulkington followed by The Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton. Flowers are welcome, the family said. Betty Thorpe passed away peacefully at Sovereign House Nursing Home, Coventry on January 8, aged 89. A much-loved wife of the late Stan.
