Heartbroken family of Coventry dad who died at 30 to pay special tribute
Callum David Kenneth Hill will be honoured at a fun-filled fundraiser at Pinley Rugby Club
A kind-hearted Coventry dad will be remembered with joy at a fun-filled event following his death at the age of just 30. Callum David Kenneth Hill was said to have taken his own life earlier this year, ‘leaving the biggest hole in so many lives.’
Callum was described as being ‘happy and outgoing’ and ‘would light up a room’ but faced his own struggles, which led to his tragic death on Friday, March 22. He was remembered for being ‘the best daddy, partner, son, brother, and uncle.’
Now sister Chammaine Hill will be hosting a fun-filled event at Pinley Rugby Club in Wyken Croft on Saturday, June 15, just before Father’s Day. Callum will be remembered for being a ‘great’ dad to his young son Freddie.
Chammaine said there will be fun-filled sporting activities, a bouncy castle and face painting as well as a BBQ. Guests will also be able to take part in a raffle with some ‘fantastic’ prizes up for grabs, with the funds raised being donated to city-based charity It Takes Ball to Talk.
Speaking to CoventryLive, Chammaine said: “It is the first Father’s Day without Callum and with him being a great dad to Freddie it is just another way to remember him whilst raising money for It Takes Ball to Talk.”
She continued: ”As a family we decided to raise funds for It Takes Ball to Talk, which uses sporting themes to encourage people, particularly men, to talk about their feelings. If this charity can raise awareness and encourage just one man to speak out and prevent one family from having to go through what we have then we consider it a job well done.”
