Trae Young Breaks Down What Hawks Need to Improve on Going Forward

This season, and especially in the last two games, the Hawks’ offense has not been an issue. Despite scoring 299 points in their last two games against the Pacers and the Nets, Atlanta is only 1-1, primarily as a result of subpar defensive play on the opposing end of the court.Trae Young discussed the things the Hawks were doing well after last night’s victory over the Nets. not to mention areas they still need to work on moving forward:

“It’s just about finishing, but we still gave them a lot of points, and we will learn a lot from this victory. As I always say, it’s beneficial to take lessons from victories, and I’m happy that we can do so after enjoying our Thanksgiving holiday and spending time with our families. It will be beneficial to return and play some more.”

Young is hopeful that these final two games will be the catalyst for him to turn things around for the remainder of the season after having a difficult start to the season shooting the ball, particularly from deep:

“I really hope so. When I go out there and play every night, all I want to do is support my teammates both offensively and defensively, impose my will as much as I can, and try to make shots for them since they have been going in a little bit more.”

The Hawks defeated the Nets last night to end a three-game losing run. They will begin their road trip on Saturday with a game against the Washington Wizards, another opportunity for the Hawks to score a lot of points.
