Bukayo Saka injury update emerges at Arsenal ahead of final day showdown v Everton

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka will be fit to feature for the Gunners in their Premier League clash with Everton, according to Football London.

The outlet reported on its website on Friday (17 May) that the England international is expected to play some part in the title-deciding final-day clash at the Emirates on Sunday (19 May), despite injury fears.

Saka was substituted in the final stages of the Gunners’ win over Manchester United last time out as hobbled off of the field and has been noticeably absent from several squad photos posted to social media.

While Mikel Arteta wasn’t asked about the winger’s fitness in his pre-match press conference, it is understood that the 22-year-old will play against Sean Dyche’s side.

Will Bukayo Saka play for Arsenal against Everton at the Emirates?

Everton are heading into Sunday afternoon’s clash in a wonderful position. Not only can they not be relegated, but they also could have a major impact on where the title will be heading if they pick up a result in North London.

While Dyche will want to see his side claim all three points, he won’t be too gutted if his side doesn’t come away victorious as there is very little riding on this match and he would much rather his stars remain fit ahead of pre-season. Saka being fit will be a massive boost to the home side, but it could be a bit of a blow to the Toffees, especially with Vitalii Mykolenko still stuck on the sidelines as Everton will now have to find a way of stopping the Englishman.

Ashley Young has been the man to step in at left-back for much of this season and while he has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, he has struggled against the trickier wingers.

Hopefully, the veteran will manage to find a way to keep the winger quiet on Sunday.
