Everton defender Nathan Patterson update emerges by Doctor after thigh surgery

Due to his setback, he also will not be able to represent Scotland at Euro 2024 – a big personal blow for him.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Patterson:

He landed awkwardly on his thigh and needed surgery.

The fact that he was taken off right away was an indicator that it was a serious one. “He’ll be out for around three months and it’s still unclear if he can be available at the start of pre-season. “He’ll be missing the Euros as well so that’s a sign of it being a pretty bad one.“

Everton must ease Nathan Patterson back to full fitness

Rehabilitation from serious injuries, like the one sustained by Patterson, can be challenging as the healing process varies between individuals and depends on the severity of the injury, the effectiveness of the surgical intervention and the body’s response to treatment.

Everton must ensure Patterson receives the best possible care and rehabilitation program to minimise the risk of re-injury.

It’s also crucial to address any underlying factors that may have contributed to the injury, such as muscle imbalances or weaknesses, to prevent future issues.
