A man has been found in a critical condition in Coventry. It happened on Fairfax Street earlier today (Wednesday, April 24).
Paramedics were called at around 8am. A Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service also attended, said West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Crews found an elderly man in a critical condition being cared for by bystanders, said West Midlands Ambulance Service. He was given treatment before being rushed to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called just before 8am to a medical emergency on Fairfax Street in Coventry. One ambulance and a Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service attended.
“We found an elderly man in a critical condition being cared for by bystanders. Crews administered advanced life support to him and he was conveyed to University Hospital Coventry for further treatment.”
