Cole Palmer was fuming with two Chelsea players during yesterday’s draw with Sheffield United
Reports have claimed that Chelsea star Cole Palmer was far from happy during their draw yesterday with Sheffield United.
According to both TBR and Football London, the 21-year-old made his frustrations clear to see at two of his teammates during the 2-2 draw at Bramall Lane.
Palmer was far from his best yesterday, and this is likely a big reason behind why the club were unable to take three points back to West London.
Sheffield United v Chelsea FC – Premier LeagueHe was still able to register his 25th combined goal or assist in the Premier League this season, becoming the first player to reach that tally since Eden Hazard.
However, frustrations were clear to see for the England international, with it now being claimed that there were two players in particular who were on the end of his discontent.
Palmer fuming with Disasi and Jackson
Axel Disasi had been playing out of position for the Blues yesterday in the absence of Malo Gusto, with him clearly not holding the attacking skillset that his countryman does.
His lack of prowess going forward was frustrating Palmer, with him pushing the defender to help out Noni Madueke more going forwards.
who seemed to annoy the 21-year-old was Nicolas Jackson, who had one of his weaker performances for the club.
The Senegal international was particularly wasteful when the Blues were in great positions to capitalise in attack, and this was something the Palmer was openly frustrated at late in the first half.
The dropping of two points was a real nightmare for Chelsea off the back of the drama at Stamford Bridge against Manchester United last week.
What many were left thinking was unless Palmer is at his very best, the Blues are vulnerable to dropping points to near enough anyone in the Premier League right now, and that is a real concern to a side looking to push for a European place.
