Leicester City are looking to sign 24-year-old player who Arsenal

the Foxes have led the Championship for much of the season but after a drop in form, Enzo Maresca’s side are now third in the LeTague. But they are only a point behind second, boasting an extra game. They are already looking at possible additions should they get back into the Premier League and they could raid Arsenal for one player in the coming months. The Gunners could be forced to sell players.

A report from Football Transfers claims that Leicester have joined the race to sign Nketiah. Two other Premier League clubs also want to land the striker, in the form of duo Brentford and Crystal Palace.

It is believed the “underrated” Nketiah is rated by Arsenal in the region of £35m, a big fee for Leicester to pay if The Foxes do gain promotion back to the Premier League. But, they need a new striker this summer.

Indeed, Jamie Vardy’s future remains up in the air. He continues to make an imapct despite entering his late thirties at The King Power, and his contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Whether or not he stays, it will still be in Leicester’s interest to find a replacement and Nketiah could be that man. Proven in the Premier League, but just requiring a club where he can play week in, week out.

The chances of Leicester spending £35m to sign Nketiah, though, is unlikely. Arsenal would need to reduce that fee given they are trying to sell him, and that in turn allows Leicester to bring him in.
