NFL Draft 2024 Perfect 1st Round Selection For Every AFC North Team

The 2024 NFL Draft is coming up at the end of April, and we’ve previously gone over the best picks for the AFC West and the AFC East. The AFC is a highly competitive conference with a lot of really good teams, what can these teams from the AFC North do in this upcoming draft to maximize their roster and try and build a dynasty franchise for the future? Now it’s time to go over different analysts’ perspectives to find the best first-round picks possible for the teams in the AFC North

The Ravens Capitalized In Free Agency, Now How Can They Capitalize In The 2024 NFL Draft?

There’s no question that the Baltimore Ravens got even better in free agency by signing All-Pro running back Derrick Henry from the Tennessee Titans. Now the question for the Ravens is: How can they make this team even better through the 2024 NFL Draft? The Ravens currently hold the 30th pick in the first round of the draft, so let’s take a look at what the analysts are thinking, and see what the best option for the Ravens could be.

Some analysts like Ben Solek from The Ringer, and Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network are taking cornerbacks in the first round like Cooper DeJean and Kool-Aid McKinstry for the Ravens’ first pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Others like Mel Kiper Jr from ESPN, and Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports have offensive linemen going round one for the Baltimore Ravens, some even taking a wide receiver round one for the Ravens.

The only answer for this team is to fix any issues with the offensive line and have them ready to go to block for Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry come start of the 2024 season, so that means drafting a good offensive lineman round one to start building that offensive line to be the best in the NFL for the upcoming 2024 season, and if they Raven do that, this team is going to be a force to be reckon with more than they already are in the upcoming 2024 season.

This Pittsburgh Steelers team made waves this offseason by signing quarterback Russell Wilson from the Denver Broncos and Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears. What does this mean for the Steelers coming up in the 2024 draft? This means that they need to draft to protect these two quarterbacks they got during free agency whether that’s an offensive tackle or a center to snap the ball to the quarterback, this Steelers team needs to finish putting the pieces of the puzzle together for this offense to get them back on track in the 2024 season.

I would have to agree with the professionals like Chad Reuter from NFL.com or this mock draft from Steelerswire.com, that the best option for the Steelers in the upcoming draft is to draft a center round one. Whether that’s center Graham Barton from Duke or Jackson Powers-Johnson from Oregon, the Steelers need someone at that center position who can snap and block effectively for Russell Wilson, so he can turn it around and shine in the Steel City.

The Cincinnati Bengals Have Two Options For The First Round

There’s no question that this Bengals team needs help protecting the quarterback. While they have gotten better this past 2023 season, the question then becomes what do the Bengals do after a pretty decent offseason signing tight end Mike Gesicki, and signing running back Zach Moss from the Colts after the Bengals traded Joe Mixon to the Texans. Also, making good defensive moves in the off-season signing defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins. Some analysts like Joel Klatt from Fox Sports, and Bucky Brooks from NFL Network are fairly confident the Bengals need a solid WR2 Joel Klatt even calling it “a no-brainer for Cincinnati.”

Others like Mel Kiper Jr, Eric Edholm, and even my colleague Timothy McBride are looking for the Bengals to better improve that offensive line in a draft that’s stacked in that position. That’s the Bengals’ best option to go for an offensive lineman like Taliese Fuaga from Oregon State, or JC Latham from Alabama. Either of these guys would be day-one starters if picked. This is by far the smarter move for Cincinnati to build up the offensive line and capitalize on this very talented draft class.

What To Make Of The Brown Draft Situation In the 2024 NFL Draft…

The franchise is without a first-round pick for the third year in a row because they went all-out for Deshaun Watson. The Cleveland Browns have just five draft picks, three of which are outside of the top 150, so it’s fair to say the Browns don’t have much to work with this year. What’s this means you make the most of the picks you do have, so let’s see how the Browns can start off on the right track in the first round. Early on in the year draft analysts like Chad Reuter had defensive players going first off the board for Cleveland, but since free agency I think everyone could now agree the best first-round choice for the Browns is a wide receiver. Specifically Xavier Worthy from the University of Texas just like Connor Livesay suggests in the 33rd team mock draft. I think this is the best possible option for the Browns to stay competitive in this division filled with talent like Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Russell Wilson, Joe Burrow, and so on, to maximize their roster for the upcoming 2024 season because this division is going to be tough.
