Andrew Wiggins missed the Warriors’ last game against the LA Clippers on Thursday night due to slamming a car door on his finger, but fortunately, he’s being upgraded for Saturday’s game. The Warriors have revealed that Andrew Wiggins has been upgraded from out to questionable against the LA Clippers for Saturday’s game. Chris Paul, however, remains out against the Clippers. Even though Andrew Wiggins missed the last game against the Clippers, all of the Warriors’ younger players really stepped up in his absence. If anything, the absences of Wiggins, Paul, and Payton II threw all of the youngsters in the fire, and they all thrived against an All-Star Clippers squad.
Make no mistake, the Golden State Warriors are not a better team without Andrew Wiggins. His offensive prowess, defense, and ability to rebound are all crucial pieces to the Warriors’ success. One would expect that the LA Clippers make the necessary adjustments to shut down the Warriors for Saturday’s game, but the Clippers have been incredibly unpredictable this season. One day, they’ll destroy a healthy Dallas Mavericks team while they’re on a back-to-back themselves. The next day, they’ll lose to a very shorthanded Denver Nuggets while the opposition is on a road back-to-back. Regardless of whether or not Andrew Wiggins plays on Saturday, the Golden State Warriors need to be ready for a very desperate Clippers team.
