The young striker switched to Gloucester City in November, but has now been recalled allowing him to join the Puritans until Saturday 20 April – the end of the Vanarama National League North regular season.
For Gloucester, he made 21 appearances and scored seven times during what was his first loan move since signing a two-year professional contract with Birmingham City last summer.
Beresford now joins a Banbury side managed by Kevin Wilson who sit in 22nd position.
