Philippe Clement makes ‘interesting’ January transfer comment

Philippe Clement has revealed Rangers will look to address the imbalance in their squad in the January transfer window and will assess the players already at the club until then.

The boss claimed it would be an interesting few weeks as he is set to check the progress of players he is still yet to see in games to gauge his full opinion of the squad and what will be required.

Clement seemed to suggest it could be a busy January for the Ibrox club as they look to build a stronger and more balanced squad to help as they look to challenge for silverware.

Clement was speaking to the Daily Record [30 November] as he shared: “There are a few players I didn’t even see yet on the pitch to play games or who have trained two or three times in the five weeks.

“To make a clear opinion about the squad, it is not realistic to do it now for the moment. Of course, we have ideas and we have talked about them and we are looking at things as a club because there is also an imbalance in the squad. In some positions, we have a lot of players and in others, we do not.

“Those are things to look towards for January and the rest. It is going to be very interesting in the next five weeks how all the players will perform.”
