P.J. Tucker Slapped With $75,000 Fine for Public Trade Demand Amid Milwaukee Bucks Links
It has been a tumultuous past few days for former Milwaukee Bucks forward P.J. Tucker. The 38-year-old, currently plies his trade with the Los Angeles Clippers after joining the team this summer as part of the James Harden blockbuster deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
As it turns out, however, Tucker isn’t likely to remain a Clipper for the rest of the season.
NBA Fines P.J. Tucker $75,000 for Demanding Trade from Clippers
According to a report by Zach Harper and Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Clippers opted to send Tucker home from their current road trip. This is after months of boiling frustrations surrounding the veteran’s playing time in LA.
To make matters worse, the NBA has now decided to take action on Tucker, who previously made his desire to be traded from the Clippers publicly known. This is a big no-no for the league, which has prompted a hefty $75,000 fine for the 6-foot-5 forward:
Milwaukee Bucks Linked to P.J. Tucker
Tucker is no star, but he is an important veteran presence for any squad looking to compete for a championship this season. This is why it comes as no surprise that the Bucks were one of the teams that were linked to the former Texas standout.
Tucker was part of Milwaukee’s memorable title run during the 2020-21 season, which makes him a fan-favorite among the Bucks faithful. He appears to have fans in the front office as well.
It is worth noting, however, that there seems to be a twist in Tucker’s current relationship with the Clippers. According to the same report posted by Harper and Charania, “the Clippers and Tucker have had productive discussions this week about the disgruntled forward staying ready for potentially re-entering the rotation.”
