Ja’Marr Chase: Bengals Would’ve Been At The Top of the AFC if Joe Burrow Didn’t Suffer Wrist Injury
Cincinnati finished the season 9-8 and posted a 4-3 record without Joe Burrow.CINCINNATI — The Bengals finished 9-8 this season, falling short of the playoffs for the first time in Ja’Marr Chase’s career.
The star wide receiver believes this year would’ve been different if Joe Burrow didn’t suffer a season-ending wrist injury against the Ravens in November.
“Hundred percent, you ain’t even gotta finish that question brother,” Chase said when asked if the Bengals would’ve been at the top of the AFC. “I think everybody know that we played the 49ers when he was 100% healthy, that score was 31-17, so you know that discussion right there could set the market straight.”The Bengals had a 10-7 lead over the Ravens in Baltimore when Burrow left the game with a wrist injury that would ultimately end his season. No one knows how the season would’ve went, but it’s hard to blame Chase for thinking Cincinnati would’ve been in the Super Bowl conversation again this year.
