Premier League champions Manchester City are currently in the ‘lead’ amongst some of Europe’s primary clubs in the race to sign one of Italy’s brightest prospects.

Phil Foden is the standout success from the Blues’ academy, with the 23-year-old having already made 251 appearances for the first-team and won 16 trophies, including the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

Highlighting the potential advanced nature of Manchester City’s interest, the report highlights that talks concerning the Etihad club’s monitoring has been discussed since September 2023, when it was first claimed that they were ‘convinced‘ to attempt to sign him.
The teenager is yet to sign a professional contract with AC Milan, fuelling speculation of a potential transfer coup for Manchester City.
The 2008-born striker has been directly involved in four goals in four UEFA Youth League appearances this season, and has made two first-team appearances in Serie A.
The Mirror boast that the 15-year-old has scored 483 goals in 87 games for AC Milan’s youth teams, prior to making his San Siro debut against Fiorentina in November.
